RoR Developer for Live-Music search engine!
at Nik Daftary (Anywhere)
WHO ARE WE?
Turn2Live is a young startup company based in Austin, Texas that is looking to change the way people search for entertainment. We are all Austinites and love the live-music scene in Austin as well as every city we’ve heard live-music. Though our goal in the next few months is to expand nationally, we are working on building out a solid application for Austin – that can scale nationally. If you’re a live-music lover or even a fan of live-music, we think you’ll enjoy your time with us!
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
An individual that is ready to implement application enhancements on a weekly rapid-release parallel development schedule. While we will always strive to deliver the most detailed business and technical requirements, we are looking for an individual who can identify flaws in requirements logic. In other words, we’re not perfect and if we ask for functionality that you feel would constrain the business going forward, we expect you to call us out. Additionally, use of open-source software is encouraged. Given that our end product is for users, bands and venues within the live-music realm, having an understanding of the live-music industry or interest in live-music would be a plus.
TIMEFRAME:
We will require daily communication updates as to work completed, work-in-progress and upcoming development plans. Most of the features / application enhancements will require 1-2 week turnaround time from scoping to rollout.
PAY STRUCTURE:
Currently, we are looking for monthly fixed-fee contract as our business requirements are changing on a frequent basis. Depending on the quality of work done, this can be changed to a long-term (for-hire) fixed contract. Pay rates are negotiable depending on expertise, history of development and portfolio of past work done. Lastly, depending on quality of work we are open to providing equity bonuses.
