Value of Human Capital in Austin
There are some great things happening at the Chamber of Commerce, and with Opportunity Austin 2.0. One of the key messages that I took away from Gary Farmer was that attracting top talent to Austin is a top priority for everyone. With that in mind, the chamber is working on a major redesign of the AustinHumanCapital web portal for information technology jobs.
We’re proud to announce that the tech news portion of the website is from AustinStartup.
The jobs portal just launched, and it’s already got probably 50 tech companies listed, with more coming. We’re going to be linking to chamber’s jobs portal from our Indeed-powered jobs section, and finding other synergies with the website.
To many people, the Chamber of Commerce is a little building you see on the main road when you pull into town. In Austin the chamber is powered by a vast network of Austin businesses that are committed to growing the cities economic base while preserving the quality of life that we all enjoy.
