Blogging from SXSW Interactive
Is there a bigger story this week than SXSW? News has been kind of slow because I’m sure everyone is holding their news for SXSWi, which is emerging as one of the top Web 2.0 conferences in the country. Here are some highlights from the festival, in our opinion. If you’ve got a favorite session upcoming, leave it in the comments.
- Friday 5pm — Bankrupt Your Startup in 5 Easy Steps with Andrew Hyde (Startup Weekend). Room 19AB.
- Saturday 3:30pm — Tim Ferriss (The Four Hour Workweek) and Evan Williams (Twitter) on The Art of Speed.
- Saturday 3:30pm — Jason Fried (37 Signals) on 10 Things We’ve Learned.
- Sunday 2pm — Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook, will Keynote.
- Sunday 3pm — Thom Singer will have a book reading from “Some Assembly Required” on the Adobe Day Stage, upper level Ballroom G.
- Sunday 5pm — Gossip with Heather Gold, Evan Williams (Twitter) and Owen Thomas (Valleywag). Room 12AB.
- Sunday 5pm — SEO 3.0 with Bill Leake (Apogee).
- Monday 10am — The Care and Feeding of Your Startup. Room 18ABCD. With Stacey Zuniga (Unwired Nation) and Blair Garrou (DFJ Mercury).
- Monday 11:30am — Guy Kawasaki on True Stories from Social Media Sites. Room A.
- Monday 3:30 — Bijoy Goswami and Dr. Alex Cavalli on Bootstrapping 101. Room B.
- Monday 5pm — Kevin Koym on Bootstrapping through Entrepreneur Collaboration Networks.
- Monday 6p - 8p — Austin Tech Happy Hour will be a showcase of emerging Austin technology companies at The Marq on 5th and Congress. Badge required. Companies include ADRevolution, Indeed.com, iTaggit, and Spocal.com.
- Tuesday 11:30am — David Altounian (iTaggit) and Matt Esber (NCSoft) on Following the Lifecycle of an Idea. Room 19A.
- Tuesday 11:30am — Michael Eisner interviewed by Mark Cuban. Room 12AB.
- Tuesday 11:30am — Visualizing Sustainability with Jon Lebkowsky, Joel Greenberg and Pliny Fisk. Room 9.
- Tuesday 3:30pm — Kip McClanahan (ON Networks) about Filmmakers On Demand. Room 12AB.
- Tuesday 3:30pm — Kevin Rose (Digg) on Considerations for Scalable Web Ventures.
There are definitely some conflicting events in there. So hard to choose! What are your recommended sessions?
