Bazaarvoice Signs Office Depot

Bazaarvoice LogoPut another major online retailer into the growing list of customers at Bazaarvoice. Office Depot joins other huge online retailers like Macy’s, Dell, Petco, and Sears on the customer list. The company has so many major names on their customer list, that’s it’s almost a shock that OfficeDepot is not already a customer.

“Office Depot is dedicated to providing the right products and services to help customers take care of business and this new user-driven ratings service is a testament to the Company’s customer centric philosophy,” said Karim Hadchiti, Vice President of Global E-Commerce for Office Depot. “Customer reviews and ratings not only help people make informed buying decisions, but also provide Office Depot with important feedback on what our customers want and need from the products they are using every day.”

  1. Bryan,

Thanks for taking note of this major milestone. It is amazing to think that when we started this company, there were about 5 retailers nationwide with customer reviews on their website. I’m including Amazon.com in that 5. Now over 50 of the top 100 U.S. retailers offer customer reviews online. And this trend is taking hold in Europe and Asia as well.

The next phase is for user-generated content in the U.S. is for it to be integrated into the fabric of multichannel marketing. See these two Bazaarblog posts for recent moves in this direction by Wal-Mart and Best Buy:

    Thanks again,
    Brett
