CoreTrace, a security startup focusing on the application whitelisting market, also quietly raised $8.02M in a Series A funding. Backers include Venrock and Hunt Ventures. It’s pretty unique to see an $8M takedown in Austin without AV being involved. At a recent social function we got a little bit of a scoop on the ramping up of this company, and the industry veterans behind it, but we had no idea this kind of money was in the process of being raised.
