Rackspace Quarterly Revenues Reach $84M
So they’re technically not really an Austin company, but Rackspace announced some pretty major second quarter revenues today. $84M and growing each quarter puts them in the $350-$400M annual revenue range. Rackspace joins the small list of private companies that are announcing revenue numbers, even though they are not required to do so. Usually this means they are conditioning the market for some sort of financial event. Given the wave of liquidity lust that’s going on at the moment, I wouldn’t be surprised to see something happy with Rackspace in the next 9 months.

Good for them. We use Rackspace at Babble Soft and they absolutely rock. Not cheap, but worth every penny. We tried 2-3 different hosting services thinking that we could get away with paying less and we sure got what we paid for with others…not much. Rackspace’s motto of fanatical support is really true, not just a marketing gimmick. Once I entered a support ticket late on a Friday and I got a call first thing the next morning from a Rackspace support engineer concerned that they had responded to my ticket but that I had not responded to them! Talk about customer service. Anyway, enough of my free testimonial. Check them out yourself.
